Impressed with the quality
from Houston, TX
I was hesitant at first to purchase this sketchbook, as I was unfamiliar with Blick. But I figured I would take a risk considering the reasonable price. I am more than impressed. It has good quality paper, the cover is sturdy, and it looks good.I'm using it for drawing with pencils and it is great for that purpose.Bottom line: I will be buying this again when I fill it up.

This sketch book is compact enough that I can pull it out on the L and sketch whatever comes to mind comfortably in a packed train car
Nice quality paper and it seems well-bound
I am writing the Song of Songs love poem from the Bible in two books for my two daughters and their new husbands. The paper is thick and cream-colored. The gold ink pen I use is not bleeding at all into the paper. I'm pleased with the books. Thank you, Blick. God bless.

I have a bookshelf full of these sketchbooks. They are a great value and my go to for recording ideas and thumbnails, essentially my brain on paper. The paper will take colored pencils if you need color. The paper isn't heavy enough to take marker or watercolor, although I have used both in them.
Best sketchbook paper for graphite
Perfect tooth for graphite, works well for charcoal pencil too....

Ink does not leak onto next page. Binding is strong and durable. Pages are somewhat mix-media, great for small projects in class or outside cafes. Pocket but for daily artists
excellent service very high quality material

I have bought more than 200 of these sketch books and have never had a reasonto question the quality or the value. Excellent paper for writing and drawing, sewn bindingso the pages stay in for ever. Plus periodic sales make these books "must haves."Blick's is my first and only choice and regret only that I have not been paid for this reviewsince it is totally genuine, and if they were nearby I would want to work for them.

My International Baccalaureate use these to keep track of their work...they are perfect for keeping track of their projects and how they develop their skills in a variety of mediums.MY only complaint is that the spine breaks from the use and stress the students put on them, but the kids love to add their decorations and embellishments and reinforce this feature.
