I used these little 4x4 canvas boards with my summer camp students age 6-10. They were so inexpensive each student was given 4 boards to created a 'set'. We used an ocean theme so most students painted 1 shell, 1 crab, 1 seahorse & 1 fish. This was way more fun then painting a single standard size board. Their parents were thrilled with the results!

The type of art that I do blends perfectly with using panels because I paint a base in acrylics, let dry and then come back with other colors and using artist knives to carve out my picture and the panels with their stiffness is very condusive to this type of painint.

These panels are sturdy and uniform, once in a while there will be one that is not perfect---but they are great for the price! People are likely to buy small paintings and this provide an affordable surface of standard size to paint on. Very good--
