Each pad contains multiple sheets of heavyweight white paper with a velvet-touch surface, ideal for pencil, charcoal, crayon, pen, and wash mediums. Spiral-bound on the short side, they feature a heavyweight board backing that assures a firm surface during drawing sessions.

Blick Drawing Pads come in a variety of sizes and two weights. Choose from 60 lb (98 gsm) paper in 100-sheet pads or 80 lb (130 gsm) paper in 30- and 70-sheet pads.

I only have two issues with this product:
1) The pages aren't perforated so I have to use an X-acto knife to get a clean edge.
2) Every time I need to order more Blick runs out of stock!! Next time it's in stock I'm definitely going to order extras.

I use the product with children to make a long term book of their drawings. The paper weight is perfect and excellent for the price. My only complaint is that it would be easier to rebind into a finished book if the spiral was "U-style" instead of the old fashioned type.

The sketch books are very good, and when price is factored in, they are a great value. I like the 60 lb paper for pencil and ink sketches, plus is ok for a light wash. I have purchased them many times and plan to continue to buy them in the future.
