Blick Country Classic Wood Frames are fine quality frames made from solid pine, expertly stained and hand-rubbed to complement your home decor. They are similar in style to our Traditionally Styled Wood Frames, and are built in the same factory, but have a more rustic finish.
Each frame is wire-brushed before it is finished to bring out a rustic, weathered look. Choose Country Classic Frames to complement landscape and wildlife art, or to set a relaxed mood for the family room or a vacation home.
To set your artwork apart, each frame has a natural linen liner. Why pay for a custom-made frame when you can have quality like this for so much less?
Frame Depth — The depth of a frame refers to the depth of the frame's rabbet (the cut-out area behind the frame's molding that holds your artwork in place). To find a frame that will accommodate your artwork, measure the depth of the artwork, including any matting or mounting materials, and order a frame with a depth that is, at a minimum, the same as that measured depth.
Note — Frames are sized by the opening, not by the outside of the molding. To determine the size of frame to order, measure the outside of your artwork, including mat, and order that size frame. The frame will overlap your artwork ¼" all the way around, so your artwork will fit nicely behind the frame's molding.
Nice looking frames. I have both Light and dark versions of this frame and they enhance the look of my photographs. No hardware, no glass.

I had a sea scape painting in the works and wanted a nice frame to compliment the painting. The drift wood is perfect. What's not so perfect is that I made a stupid mistake. I gave no thought to the rabbit depth. My canvas is 3/4" So I'll save this for the next painting which will be on a canvas of the correct size. I have learned a very valuable lession. Not Blick's fault. Thanks. bill

Was looking for a frame that was different from all the plain or document holding types in the stores. This frame is beautiful and compliments my friend's Tahitian beach scene watercolor wonderfully! I didn't realize that it is JUST the frame. No glass, no backing, no hardware...guess I'll have to cannibalize one of those store-bought blah frames... still happy with the style, color and texture.

The most important thing for me when choosing a frame is "how will it compliment or enhance the painting". My second consideration is construction and the third price. I have ordered most of my frames from Dick Blick because I have been able to find all three of my cinsiderations in one place. My only problem is I wish they carried even MORE styles, for their frames are the best ready-made frames I have found for the price anywhere..
