Welcome to dickblick
Elegantly hand-crafted and finished with closed corners, the Concerto has a timeless look and appeal reminiscent of old-world European frames.
The distinctive finish on the "crackle" frames is achieved by applying a quick-drying paint over a slow-drying paint — no two frames are ever the same!
Frame depth is ½".
Note — Hanging hardware not included.
Frame Depth — The depth of a frame refers to the depth of the frame's rabbet (the cut-out area behind the frame's molding that holds your artwork in place). To find a frame that will accommodate your artwork, measure the depth of the artwork, including any matting or mounting materials, and order a frame with a depth that is, at a minimum, the same as that measured depth.
Frame Dimensions — Frames are sized by the opening, not by the outside of the molding. To determine the size of frame to order, measure the outside of your artwork, including mat, and order that size frame. The frame will overlap your artwork ¼" all the way around, so your artwork will fit nicely behind the frame's molding.
Open Back Frames — These frames are meant to be hung on the wall and are sold as just the frame face. They are not shipped with backing material, glazing material, or hanging hardware. The open back frames are commonly used for traditional profile stretched canvases.

I really like the worn out black with a gold perimeter, the only thing I wish is that there were an option for the glass and back of frame because I had to buy it all separately and it would be more convenient to have at least the option of getting a package deal.

I ordered the Gold Espresso frame and it was a good call. We used it to frame an old print. The frame added a lot to our print and they look beautiful together. Highly recommend it!
GREAT FRAME HOEVER

I ordered this frame in 36x24 size along with two Simplon frames and unfortunately the concerto frame came in with damage on the front that could not be easily fixed. I called Blick and they arranged a return right away and an exchange which was painless. A few days later I got the replacement frame which did have a very tiny chip in it that I can easily fix. Other than this hiccup its a very nice frame for the price and a solid value - will definitely order again in smaller sizes... One wish I have is that all Blick frames would come with the backs finished a little better than to have just raw wood wiht stamps all over. I would recommend painting the backs in black or dark grey before framing...
Gold Espresso is my current favorite frame

The combo of soft black with bright gold liner is perfect for my plein air landscape paintings. Fantastic bang for the buck. I like that they are made in nearby Mexico rather than China and are crafted of real wood. They are light weight compared to higher priced frames that I've purchased but this is an advantage when hanging, handling, shipping and transporting paintings to shows, etc. They withstand handling and transport very well. The only problem I've found is that occasionally a slight crack line forms in the finish along the joinery in the closed corners. It's not structural, just a very minor blemish.

The Concerto design is classy and offsets my Plein air pastels making them look very professional and collectible! The frame is light weight and the cost is just about right for the product. They come is the sizes I use most and I just bought some really big ones so I am looking forward to new projects on a grand scale!
