The perfect marriage of economy and quality! Extraordinarily sturdy to resist warping, these canvas panels are an incredible value.
They are crafted to our exacting standards from 5 oz 100% cotton canvas that is double primed and adhered with an acid-free adhesive.
Their acid-free core is made from a cellulose by-product that is an ecologically renewable resource. Each panel is approximately 1/8" thick and is individually wrapped.

Great For Practice
from Washington, IL
Comments about Blick Canvas Panels:
I love using these panels for practice pieces or pieces I'm not planning to sell for and excessive amount. These are durable and easy to work with, and they're cheap! I never seem to have enough on hand.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I used this in my classroom with students that have never used a canvas. We painted with many different types of paint.

I use the canvas to help create murals at several elementary schools in Irvine California.
Good value with lots of choice in sizes.

Had problems with regular canvas' cause my cat (Camo) likes to help paint from the back side, and claws would suddenly appear on the front of my paintings... These also don't show the support bracing highlights... They are also easy to frame. I use these canvas' 75 percent of the time.

The surface texture of the product is nice; however, I am not satisfied with it because it does not lie flat. The panels always have a slight curve to it; making the presentation of my students' art less than ideal. Name brand products seem to not have this problem. If Blick can figure out a better way to manufacture their canvas panels, more art teachers would definitely purchase bulk buys for their hundreds of students!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Use them for both oil and Acrylic. I haven't had any warping with either medium on this panel, and I start out in both, with thin washes. (and build up) The only complaint I would have, is, it's a bit toothy, but I don't mind it. (only one time did it give me a fit, and it was a small face I was working on) but who gets their nose right up in a painting? They're best viewed from at LEAST an arms length, and the image looked fine. (if you think about it, it allows the under color, or a sparkle of white canvas to peak through, and if you're careful, it looks great)
