Black, dense, flowing ink
By Dog mom
from Tampa, Fl
Bought the product to ink manga, comics and ink drawings. I was really surprised at how black the ink is. It withstands erasing pencil and works great with alcohol based markers. Water-proof and dries fast enough without building up on nibs and brushes. Highly recommended.
Great India Ink
As good as or better than any ink I have used.

Some really nice ink,not thee best but up there in class and ratings!!
great for coloring wood projects.
I have been extremely happy with this ink. I use it for added details on my watercolor paintings and the black is rich and it was a great value. I will most likely purchase this product again. For best results I make sure to shake the bottle before using it.

Darkens tempera paint without altering color!
from St. Paul, MN
I teach a high school introduction to art class, and during our color theory painting unit, I have the students mix this ink with their black tempera to make it blacker (otherwise it's a thin brownish color). They also mix a very small amount with other colors they're mixing to make them darker without altering the color the way black tempera would.

I been doing art from the age of 6 and had the best teachers in my life as well. And from the year I have use lots of ink in my life and I have use Black Cat all my life and it as always been the best to work with. I great the best out of my work now better than I had years ago. I wish some of my teachers where around to see my work today they have go on to the world of better Artist and wait for other artist like our self....! My first teacher was Black Bear Boson an Native American and the other was Pat Rowley..! And then then the Colleges as well..! Am still learning and teaching my self the art and getting better as well and "YES" I would tell other people and have told them about it and how clean it is to clean up and fast it dries and how Beautiful it is when the work is done as well...!I Buy by the Quit. it last m a long time and sometimes I may buy two to have more on had if I have bigger work on hand as well...!
Good to play out of my usual medium. Love it.

I simply relax and play. The ink and paper allows me to loosen up and not think so much about form and technique. Love the dense black.

Black Cat India Ink is deeply pigmented. I use it to stain the backs of frames, and because it is water-based, I can apply wax.
