Waterproof & markerproof to boot!
from Ambler, PA
I bought this ink in July 2016 to try it out, to see if I could find a cheaper alternative to other inks such as Deleter #4 and Ph. Martin's Black Star. To my surprise, the ink held its own against those two inks. Very deep, is as advertised regarding its waterproof nature, and as an added bonus it held up well against some alcohol markers I had. Would say it leans closer to matte but not fully there. Just make sure it is dried before using wet media of course. As the only downside I've seen, it does dry a bit slower than some other inks. I've no problem with this, but others might find this an issue. Other (older) reviews mention issues with brush usage; I have used this with nibs and have no issues with applications thusfar. The price is amazing, although while 3oz over 1.25oz for only 30 cents more is awesome, I feel a bit bad missing out on the smaller bottle. That's just a personal nitpick though.
Amazing product and I would buy it again.
from Bellmore, NY
I use this product for watercolor and inking design. The ink is very black and is thankfully waterproof. It's a good product but the cap always leaks if I accidentally knock it over so I have to keep it on a flat shelf. Other than that it is overall a great product.

I've had opportunity to use this product and it seems to be working well in my mixed media. I would recommend this to anyone who wanted to work with ink.

Black, dense, flowing ink
Bought the product to ink manga, comics and ink drawings. I was really surprised at how black the ink is. It withstands erasing pencil and works great with alcohol based markers. Water-proof and dries fast enough without building up on nibs and brushes. Highly recommended.
Great India Ink
As good as or better than any ink I have used.

Some really nice ink,not thee best but up there in class and ratings!!
great for coloring wood projects.
I have been extremely happy with this ink. I use it for added details on my watercolor paintings and the black is rich and it was a great value. I will most likely purchase this product again. For best results I make sure to shake the bottle before using it.

Darkens tempera paint without altering color!
from St. Paul, MN
I teach a high school introduction to art class, and during our color theory painting unit, I have the students mix this ink with their black tempera to make it blacker (otherwise it's a thin brownish color). They also mix a very small amount with other colors they're mixing to make them darker without altering the color the way black tempera would.
