1. The shelf below can store lots of my working material.
2. I can tip my painting forward or backward to control the "flow" of my washes without having to remove it from the easel.

Perfect for all that I need in painting except larger than 3x4 feet canvases - which I don't do many of. Perfect height for me to sit in a chair as I can't stand very long because of back accident. Love the angle adjustment to flat and anywhere in between. Would recommend it to anyone.

Things are Not so Great.
The eassel had missing tightening parts. The easel canvas supports were not square. The top mast tightening support was not square. The easel does not tighten properly at the joints, therefore the easel is wobblely and not steady to paint on.
Over all this was not a good buy for me.

Love it's versatility from standup to tabletop, which is perfect for a beginner like me who's just learning what tools I need. However, the sliding bottom support fell off when I took it out of the box. I have fixed it with a popsicle stick.

I'm a third-generation artist and I bought this easel after seeing one in my mother's studio. I like the design. I can paint sitting down or standing up. The canvas is held securely by small rubber 'feet' that prevent sliding or twisting. I can turn the easel so my artwork is flat (for spray varnishing with no drips) or at an angle. And, the easel is easy to adjust and very stable. I visited a few regular and discount art supply stores before making this purchase. I couldn't find anything comparable within even $100 of the full retail price of this easel. I'm truly delighted, [...].
