Welcome to dickblick
Specially formulated for Dick Blick, we import this linoleum from Europe several times a year to provide the softest quality possible. It gives a finely detailed, sharp, clear print.
For best results, be sure your blades are sharp! Dull blades are dangerous and frustrating, especially to students. Because of the natural aging process, linoleum should be used within a year of its purchase to take advantage of its peak softness.
For your convenience, we offer our 1/8" (3 mm) thick linoleum by the square foot, in pre-cut pieces, by the roll and mounted on blocks.
Pre-Cut Pieces — For your convenience, we offer our unmounted linoleum in packages of pre-cut pieces in popular sizes.
Mounted Blocks — We've mounted our fine-quality, battleship gray linoleum on a 3/4" thick, pressed wood block for easier handling. Total thickness is 7/8".
Linoleum in Rolls — Enjoy extra savings on the same battleship gray linoleum in rolls. Cut it yourself using a sharp knife or heavy-duty paper trimmer. Linoleum rolls require truck shipment, and do not qualify for Dick Blick's free shipping offers.

Thin linoleum with rigid back
By ST ART LOVER
from Bend, Oreogn
I use a soft pliable grey (heavier) rubber to carve abstract designs to add to my paintings. This product is thin, rigid with a hopsack type back, making it difficult to use because it is not pliable. This will go back.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
decent, good for learning
from CNY, NY
This stuff is great for learning because its an awesome value - great price for a good product. Its not the nicest carving block I've ever seen, but its really good. So unless your a professional, or very particular I think its a great buy.Only weird thing was that some felt a little greasy - may just be a manufacturing thing, not a big deal, nothing that stained or was destructive.Overall good product!
Good price but the pre cut lenolium didn't come cut square so o had to trim some off
Blick Lino panel
By Tall Bird
from Taos, NM
I bought the dozen pieces for under $30 which seemed like a good deal to me. The ones they have around my town are way smaller and around $4 each. My friends and I just discovered linoleum printing and we blew through the first dozen panels and ordered more already! In fact I check the mail daily in hopes that they arrive early! So much fun, and great for making original handmade card for letter writing! Spreading the artsy fart's you love!

Blocks not square
By Trevor Artist
This is the second time I have ordered these mounted linoleum blocks. I do primarily reduction prints. This requires me to have very exact registration. These blocks have now arrived both times out of square! Not just a little....we are talking almost a quarter of an inch over 7 inches. I have had to take the time to square them up on the table saw. I sacrifice size and time. It looks like someone is cutting the blocks out with a skill saw. The cuts are not even plumb. I thought it was just a bad batch when I first ordered so I tried again. Same thing 2nd time! The linoleum quality is fine. The guy cutting them out needs to be fired!
Merchant response: We apologize for the faults in the reshipment of this linoleum, and we're glad you took the time to write a review. Our product manager has been alerted to this situation so we can investigate, and one of our Customer Care Agents will be following up to further assist you.
Good price for standard lino
from Ann Arbor, MI
Product is exactly what I was expecting, for a great price.
high quality linoleum
from Wakefield, RI
I've tried a lot of different types of linoleum for relief printing and this is easily the best. The surface is always smooth and uniform and there's no need to sand off any uneven areas (as sometimes is the case with other brands). Easy to carve and an excellent price.
Exactly What I Expected
from Central Massachusetts
I've carved linoleum blocks before but this was my first from Blick. The quality was the same as other brands which is good, but at a much more affordable price. I was able to get 3 blocks for what would normally be the price of 1 at other stores. Highly recommended for quality and price.
Battleship Grey linoleum, wonderful product!
from Savannah, Georgia
Honestly, this is my favorite linoleum that Blick offers. It's just soft enough that it's very easy to carve. I primarily use this product for linoleum block prints and I also found that it can hold watercolor pigments for printing as well. I've been using this product for a few years and haven't found any others that compare in price and quality. Really great all around, and it's great for use in making small stamps.
