I am more a hobbiest painting than an artist. I have tried a couple of other brands, however I find the Blicks over all very satisfactory. I tend to go more into vivid colors and metalics. Love Van Gogh and Gauguin's color palates.

While the tubes of paint I purchases were fine and the color accurate, the tint wasn't as dark as I expected. The bottles of paint I purchased, were, however, so hard to open that by the time I got the bottle opened, I was very annoyed. I was worried this would happen the next time I opened it and decided to move the paint to another container, which was messy and time consuming. I don't prefer the bottles but they were a better price for the quantity I needed.

DB's Artist Acrylics are excellent and available at a great price. Give 'em a try-unless you're a stodgy artiste that prefers to pay more for brand name slavery.

I was really surprised at the quality of these paints. They have a buttery consistency that you don't see very often in acrylics, including brands like Golden and Liquitex. They really remind me of oil paint more than other brands I've tried. The pigment load is good and I'll definitely be getting more as I replenish used stock.

Over the years, I have purchased several tubes of Blick Artists Acrylic. Every time, there have been issues. I used to think it was just a bad batch...but not anymore. Coverage varies greatly and the consistency of the paint is simply unusable. Some colors are just SO grainy! Who wants to fight with extensive mixing with mediums simply to smooth out the paint? I like bold, smooth, consistent color, this paint just doesn't deliver. Blick Studio Acrylic (which is the student grade in my opinion, far surpasses this paint!)

I'm reclaiming my patio decorations, etc. and this product has proven to be excellent for this project. The easy clean-up is also a positive.

Needed larger size than the tubes for (4) large (4 ft. x 5 ft.) paintings. This paint really works great.

I like several of the colors and there is real value to be had. For real cadmiums hard to argue with the price but next to golden these are shown for what they are. Solid student paints

The earth tones and mars black are very granular. They are workable however and are better than same color stuff like system 3 rowney but I'd probably drop a little more and use goldens earths instead

Great value for art students as with less than a couple hundred bucks you could easily get enough paint to go a semester doing large work with heavy paint or even a year of smaller class work

Worth noting the colors that should be opaque are unlike hues so that is a positive.
