This is a good deal for newsprint, but be aware it is VERY smooth to the point of being a bit glossy. Great with compressed charcoal and conte, but hard to use vine on in my opinion.

I do paper piecing and it feeds through my printer with no problems. I have also shared with others and they are interested in some of your larger sheets of newsprint.

I use this newsprint to print paper piecing designs for quilting projects that I do. It works great in my printer and is great to stitch my fabrics to. It is easy to remove when I am ready for that step. I can afford to use this product a lot easier than other paper piecing paper.

I am a quilter and do a lot of paper-piecing. This paper is wonderful for that purpose. I can print from my printer my patterns onto the paper and when the paper needs to be removed from the fabric it tears very easily. I also print quilting patterns on the newsprint paper for long arm quilting, again the paper removes very easily when I am finished

I find it hard to find smooth newsprint. Dick Blick's product serves my purpose for my once a week figure drawing group. I like the way charcoal glides over the surface texture. My only complaint is that the sheets are somewhat rippled.

I use the product for foundation piecing in quilting. It is important to me that the sheet be the proper, standard size for printing. I need something that will feed properly through the printer and not tear or crumple up---this product will do that.

The newsprint paper is the work horse of my studio. I use it to keep my surfaces clean when I am working with paints, painting mediums, varnishes, pencils and charcoals. I also use it to lay out ideas, write notes, packing and wrapping things for shipping. Blick's newsprint paper is definitely all-purpose.
