Bienfang's Gridded Paper is popular for designing, drawing, pattern making, etc. It has non-reproducing blue lines printed on both sides of the paper. Inch lines are bolder.
Choose from 3 grid sizes, measured in squares per inch. (For example, 4 × 4 = 4 squares per inch, with each square measuring ¼ inch on a side, for a total of 16 squares per square inch.)

I need finely gridded graph paper for drawing up lace knitting charts and this is hands down the best graph paper I've found for my purpose! Fantastic quality paper and a great price!

The 8x12 size is perfect to carry in my tote bag. Price was better than previous order from another source. This is my first order from blick and I will order again.
Great Greaph Paper
from San Diego, CA
I have been using grid paper by Bienfang for years primarily for architectural and nautical plans and drawings. I mainly use the 11x17 size for quick drawings, but also the larger 17x22. The scale if four squares to the inch with guide lines every four squares. This works for me most of the time, but I'd like it if they would also had guide lines every five squares. The paper weight is ok at 19lbs. but a heavier option would be nice for inking. Erasing is no problem if you use soft leads and a good plastic eraser. Hard leads are more difficult to erase, but then you shouldn't be using them unless it's a final rendering. You need to be careful what type of pens you use for inking as there is some bleeding. Generally I do the drawing on the pads using soft leads and then remove the page with the drawing and tape it on my work surface/drafting board. This way you avoid bleeding through to the next page in the pad, and hence my previous comment that a heavier weight paper would be nice. I am satisfied with the 17x22 paper, it's a bit expensive, but worth it and there is no other options that I am aware of.

Ordering from Dick Blick Makes Teaching Easier

I probably order from Dick Blick once or twice a school year. The order is always correct and comes sooner than I expected. I have never had any problems with any of the materials I order. I will continue to purchase art supplies from here in the future!

This Grid pad has done the job! I made out some color charts and had them laminated, this paper stood up to the task! I used both color pencil and marker. The only thing that had bleed through was the Bic Brand permanent markers.
Quality product at a good price

I use this paper to work out graphs for weaving and bead work. The size, at 11 x 17", allows ample space for larger designs and the 10 x 10 grid makes counts a snap. Blick's delivery is prompt and the price is better than what I can find locally.
