Comments about Bee Paper Stipple Paper:
I plan to use this for drawing and painting. The texture is very nice and the paper is thick. Downside is this may not be good for fine pen drawings due to stippling on one side. The other side is smoother and will work well for ink or paint.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Nice paper, have used it for several years. Just wish it was a little heavier.

Great for graphite!
from Northern Virginia
Great texture and durability - a new favorite of mine! Brings out a more illustrative look. Doesn't allow for fine detail or high realism but that's one of the reasons I like it. Will continue to buy! Thanks DickBlick!

Interesting alternative to standard draw
from New Jersey
Essentially an example of "medium shell" pattern of coquille drawings papers, this is one of the last coquille papers made, as far as I can tell, and great for drawing. The texture takes graphite, wax pencil (such as Prismacolor), crayons, etc. beautifully and can also be used with black ink or marker in conjuction with the tonal effects of pencils.

One of the best drawing papers around
Although called "stipple" paper, the texture of this paper appears to be more like the "fine shell" pattern of coquille papers from decades ago, rather than the dot pattern I associate with stippling. That aside, it provides a marvelous, and these days unique, surface for drawing. My only disappointment is that this appears to be the only pattern available, unlike the "old days" when coquille papers came in various sizes of "shell", "dot", and "linear" patterns. Personally, I'm stocking up on it in case it disappears like the other patterns have.

Plan on using this stipple paper for pencil, pen & ink projects.Just wish it came in a larger size pad like 16 x20.It has been so hard to find since they do not make croquille board anymore or the Lintex board!!

Not great for inking....
By Dave Toonie Guy
Doesn't work too well with dip pens, brush is better suited. Too bad real coquille board doesn't exist anymore but this does have a great toothy patter.
