This sketch book is perfect only thing I dont like is that i can see through the other side but if you draw on the other side it wont rip. otherwise its great

I carry the large and the small version wtih me almost everywhere, almost always. I like the feel of the paper. It's durable and holds up to heavy drawing with pen and ink, pencil, crayon, wax pastels, layers of marker. The paper also holds up to light washes from watercolor, goauche, acrylic paints. Some markers bleed through. Prismacolor, ShinHan TwinTouch, Pantone, FaberCastel Pitt, and Tombow Dual brush markers all bled through the paper (some sooner than others). I use the back of an older pad in between the sheets now. I don't like these as much as Rendr pads (because those allow me to use two sides of a sheet) but these are durable, lightweight and inexpensive. The paper scans well too.

Amazing quality for the price and perfect for any pens and markers.
I didn't expect this to be this good since the price was quite low compare to other heavy weight paper pads. The paper quality is very good. It is rather thick and heavy enough for any pens and markes.
You will, of course, find thicker and better ones but it will be hard to find this good in this price range. I am not a big fan of its cover design but overall, it deserves 5 stars.

I've used a few different sketchbooks some light weights, some watercolor, and some marker based. The problem I have with watercolor/marker ones is there's not enough pages for me that I would be happy with buying that sketchbook. Walked into my local Blicks looking for some Brush artist pens and saw this and had to get it. One of the better sketchbooks I've used when using markers. Currently going to order another now.

I use this product for pen work, colored pencils, and sometimes even markers and it has always been fantastic! It gives great results, it's nice and smooth, and it doesn't feather or soak up ink like crazy.

This is a very good sketchbook for both pencils and ink pens and preliminary markers. It is not for finished art but is OK for it if cannot aford more fancier paper such as Aquabee manga paper (don't worry about 'manga' its just a very smooth thicker paper that can be used for any drawing that requires fine details).

I would not change anything with this sketchbook (maybe I would change it to an international A4 size but its not a big deal as its very close to it) except 2 things:

1. I would add another hard cardboard at front of the book right after the front cover for more sturdiness and protections of pages - but this is more common for 'better' fancier sketchbooks
2. I would appreciate if Aquabee would remove the invisible words 'hammermill paper' found in the middle of each page which can only be seen if shading completely with pencil across that area. No problem if you will not shade but really there is no need for those words to appear as it is kind of distracting.

Otherwise, a nice sketchbook which can be used for preliminary pencil/ink sketches and even finished art if cannot afford (or do not want to) more expensive paper.

I would actually love if their manga paper would also be available in this format so not to lose any loose pages. At present their manga paper (size A4/letter size) only comes in lose sheets.

Since most of my artwork is marker based, finding the right type of paper that won't bleed too badly (through to the other side, or even within the line art) or suck out a lot of ink is hard. This paper just feels right. It's thicker than most, 70 lb is just right, and the paper itself is super smooth without being slick. It's the best I've used so far! (and so affordable!!)

My only nit pick is that the pages aren't perforated. I like to frame finished works, so having to cut them out isn't fun. Other than that though, I love it and will buy more!

Extremely smooth, perfect for ink lines. Kind of like plate finish Bristol Board. But what I was not expecting was how THICK / Heavy the paper is. Thick enough to withstand WATERY ink washes. Also works great with soft graphite, and perfect for MARKERS too. I use a 2B pencil to do an outline sketch, then wash over it with watered down ink or Prismacolor markers. I wouldn't recommend for coloured pencil, though: not enough texture, although I do it anyway. I will buy many more pads soon.
