manga marker pad
Comments about Bee Paper Aquabee Manga Artist Paper:
I was unsure about it at first but it's actually a good pad with decent paper, not too thin but not super thick.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

My granddaughter uses these markers for her drawings and this is her Christmas present from us. I know she will be excited to get all of the markers and the storage container.
An Excellent Marker Paper
from Twin Cities, Minnesota
This paper is excellent. i was hestitant due to some reviews, but I have not found anything bad about this paper. i have used it also with graphite pencils and all sorts of pens and find it is top notch stuff that is true-to-size, which isn't easy to find these days. I use it for Faber-castell Pitt art pens and brush pens, Micron pigma pens by Sakura, and Staedtler's various types of pens, which like this paper better than most others (meaning the Staedtler pens work best on this). I also use oil-based coloured pencils on this, which come out very soft and pastel-like, faded-looking colours, if you like that sort of thing. It also goes through photocopiers and printers pretty well. Wish it came in more sizes.

This inexpensive paper performs well with inks and other wet media. It is formulated for direct marker-based cartooning but will work with an inkjet printer.
Nice inexpensive marker paper
I originally purchased a carton of these manga pads from another store (they where on clearance for next to nothing, so I stocked up figuring if it wasn't great, I could use it for scratch paper).Bee brand tends to be on the low end of the price scale for art paper, but the quality is nice. This paper is bright white with a smooth, toothless texture and is reasonably heavy. Generally, using Copic markers, I don't have problems with bleed through, but to avoid an occassional blotch I slip a scrap paper under the sheet I am using. The paper doesn't have excessive glue at the top, so the pages can be pulled cleanly from the tablet with ease.Contrary to another reviewer, I had no problems with streaking when using Copics with this paper, and I've used around a dozen of these tablets. For me, the ink blends pretty smoothly unless I allow the pen to rest too long, over saturating the page (but that would occur with any paper of an equal weight).I don't have extensive experience with other marker papers, but this has served me well. Even if you prefer a heavier paper, this would be suitable for practice sketches. I am glad I bought it, I only wish I had gotten more than one carton when I had the chance!

Did Not Like
from New York, NY
I bought this pad for use with my Copic Ciao markers. I would recommend buying different marker paper, because I did not like the quality of this one. The markers showed up streaky, and did not blend well on this paper. The ink also bled out to the other side. I also do not like the texture of the paper. If you have Copics, buy a different pad of paper.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I had a lot of fun with this paper. Did not really have trouble with blending my mepxy markers (on sale :D) on the paper. It was pretty smooth and erased well!

Good paper for printing out line-art on
By Katie A.M.
from Omaha, NE
A friend recommended this paper to me, as it goes through printers pretty well. My hands shake pretty bad when I do inking (so much so I stopped inking altogether because I was so frustrated), so having the ability to have printable line art to use my Copics on is a plus. (Especially since it saves me a trip to the local FedEx/Kinkos, hah) You have to let the ink dry for about an hour or two before you can use the markers, but once it's completely dry, color application and blending is much easier and not smeary. I'm not sure where people are getting this "flaky" stuff from... personally, I like the way the paper handles Copic ink, because it reminds me of the way I often do my digitally-done artwork. Your mileage may vary, of course.
