We painted icons at a women's retreat. All were happy with the results. Plaques were not too expensive to discourage novices and were a good size. I probably should have sanded them but no one seemed to mind.

The thing that would have made them perfect is no staples or stickers on the plaques. I spent a lot of time sanding the staple holes and getting rid of the adhesive before I painted them. Once I got rid of those two imperfections the ease of painting them where awesome. I am writer and photographer and I used them to mount motivational photos onto. The next order I place I will request no staples or stickers be placed on the plaque. Then I would rate them a 5 STAR!!!!!!
