Bailey De-Airing Pugmills

By far the safest single-auger pugmills made, Bailey De-Airing Pugmills are designed to make it virtually impossible to injure your fingers or hands. A unique direct vertical plunger drives the clay into the safety hopper that contains a permanent stainless steel safety grid. This grid prevents hands from ever reaching the auger blades, yet it won't compromise the pugging process.

Instead of wedging, the Bailey De-Airing Pugmill quickly reblends bagged clay so it has excellent consistency for throwing and hand building. Both Model A-400 and Model A-800 feature a durable stainless steel auger with an aluminum barrel.

Bailey De-Airing Pugmills are great for dark and white stoneware clays, red clays, and earthenware.

The optional stainless steel table is compatible with both models. Assembly is required.

Note — Porcelain clays require a pugmill with a stainless steel barrel.

Warning — To avoid corrosion of the aluminum barrel, do not use porcelain clay containing soda spars, or other clays that contain soda.

Model A-400 — Has a ½ HP motor, a ½ HP vacuum pump, and a 2½" diameter nozzle. It produces 400 lbs/hour deaired, and 500 lbs/hour non-deaired. 110V, 5A.

Model A-800 — Has a 1 HP motor, a ¾ HP vacuum motor, and a 3" diameter nozzle. It produces 800 lbs/hour deaired, and 900 lbs/hour non-deaired. 110V, 8.5A.

Electrical Warning — All electrical products have U.S. standard plugs and voltage. Due to damage that can occur when using incompatible plugs, sockets, or converters, Blick does not ship electrical items or accessories outside of North America or to freight forwarders.
