Bring your projections into the digital age!
The Artograph LED500 Digital Art Projector has the capacity to project images from virtually any digital source including cameras, computers, and smartphones, opening a whole new world of creative possibilities for artists, muralists, decorators, and designers.
Forget about the limitations of traditional opaque projectors, such as having to load flat, two-dimensional originals into a small copy area one by one. The Artograph LED500 is equipped with a built-in USB port that accommodates flash drives, smartphones, and external CD/DVD drives. Simply plug in your digital device and scroll through your JPEG images until you find the exact one you'd like to project and/or reproduce. Plus, at just 1 lb, this compact, featherweight projector is light enough to take anywhere.
A number of other cutting-edge features make the Artograph LED500 unique. It's equipped with 19 exclusive layout grids you can overlay onto your images to aid in composition. You can also change from front to rear projection, transform color images into black-and-white for easier copying, and use the automatic keystone function to straighten your images when projecting them from various angles — all with the push of a button.
In addition to the USB port, the Artograph LED500 comes with an external SD card reader, as well as an RGB cable for connecting a computer. Now, beyond projecting a single image, you can project a presentation of your entire portfolio. Or freeze-frame digital movies until you find the perfect still. The Artograph LED500 is so advanced, it even plays music.
With 1280 × 800 (WXGA) resolution, twin XD image processors, and an exclusive "Edge Enhancer" function, the Artograph LED500 offers brilliant, 500 lumen illumination, true-to-life color, and incredible sharpness. Projected image sizes range from 15" to more than 80" in virtually any lighting conditions. The maintenance-free, 500 lumen LED lamp has a life of up to 30,000 hours. No maintenance is required, and there is nothing to replace or maintain.
A full-function remote control and a storage/carry bag are included.

Comments about Artograph LED500 Digital Art Projector:
For realistic portraits, either of humans or animals, it helps to have a projector to get the proportions exactly right. And for blowing up any subject matter to mural size, having a projector makes things so much easier than a manual grid system. This projector has everything I could possibly want, and the price is reasonable for what you're getting. I recommend watching the artist video on youTube or on Artograph's web site to get a really good overview of the features.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I used this projector only once so far to see how it worked. While I had it going, I clipped a sheet of paper to my drawing board and used it to lay in a drawing from a photo. Worked really nice! I can see how it will be a great time saver when I want to just get started on something! I can see a range of possibilities for its use. Very nice product.

Well, it's nice and small. Will blow up a sketch to mural size and look dramatic, but if you want a faithful rendering of your photos, nice ergonomics on the remote, simple, intuitive commands, well then you are out of luck. Color rendering is lame...even with corrections and all those grids? Why? OK for projecting an image to draw but if you want to revue your images first I think you will be unhappy. I was.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

After lots of research we chose this projector for ease of use, brightness, compact size and are not disappointed. The images projected are crisp, colours accurate.
High tech but user friendly

An excellent and easy to use tool. I like that the projector accepts a variety of digital media and does not have to be tethered to a computer. Projector is very bright, does not require a completely dark room. Compact size and minimal power consumption/heat are a bonus.

I do own the prehistoric Artograph Prism, but at least I knew what I was getting into right from the start! On the positive side it is packaged very tightly, with a great size! But in this day and age of high tech gadgetry, in my opinion the PC competitor leads the field! Maybe others would disagree?! But was I ever shocked and basically ticked off that the highest level projector on the market by Artograph is NOT compatible with the programming of ( imo ) the world leading computer software company ( which isn't a pc )! So, of course right out of the box, I wasn't even able to try it out!! Not until I make some additional purchases for the correct storage components! Even the provided adapter ( for the competitors programming ) does not fit for a conversion. I certainly hope I do not need to make an additional purchase of an inferior "pc" just to view a single photograph! Nevermind all the other options associated with the projector, I couldn't even get out of the gate! So in all truth, the above scores were just in case it ends up being as sweet as advertised by the "excited" artist in the video blurb!

My first projector - and as such, I did a lot of reading about which one(s) were worth it, value vs. quality, etc.A lot of times you truly get what you pay for when it comes to technology. This projector hit my wallet but I could not be happier. Physically, the projector itself is incredibly small and light. The image is incredibly sharp and bright enough to be seen during the day. Lastly, it's very easy to use and you can install any updates by downloading them onto a flash drive and plugging it in.I would highly recommend this projector to anyone looking to use one for art purposes.
