I use this projector as the basis for elaborate drawings based on photos. Focus is good, and it takes fairly large originals (7 inches or so high). Like other reviewers, I find the very expsnsive bulbs burn out very quickly; much faster than the normal bulbs I used in another projector. If it weren't for that this would be one of the best projectors going. I recommend it with that caveat.

It takes 200 watt bulbs if you can find them I was worried about how high you can extend this from the table it really really extends very high up.
More so then my 20 year old kopy kake projector. It's very light weight but it's made of aluminum and strong plastic. The clamp to the table is really sturdy. It has a great overhang on the table so don't worry about it being too close to the edge.

Aside from the bulb having a broken filament,(I replaced it with one out of my old projector), it works like a charm.

I use this projector as part of my many tools in my studio. I can transfer my drawings onto larger and smaller canvas and/or drawing paper. I have saved so much time and am able to be more productive. The adjustable arm and lens are easy to use and has made my professional life much easier. Thank you!

I was looking for something to reproduce my pictures in larger sizes to put on canvas and paint. I love not spending weeks trying to get a drawing right when all I really want to do is paint! I love it! Been saving on printer ink too!

UNIT WAS REALLY NICE. EASY TO ASSEMBLE AND USE. THE PROBLEM I HAD WAS THE 250 W PHOTO BULB (AND I ORDERED A BACKUP BULB WHEN I PURCHASED THE UNIT) DIDNT LAST A MINUTE BEFORE IT WENT OUT. i PLACED THE BACKUP BULB IN, AND IT LASTED A MINUTE. [...]BUT I FOUND A 3-WAY 50W-125W-250W BULB AT [...] THAT WORKS AND HAS A LIFE OF 1600 HOURS COMPARED TO THE 4-HOUR LIFE PHOTO BULB SUPPLIED WITH THE UNIT.THE 3-WAY BULB WILL USE THE 250W SETTING IF ITS PLACED IN A UNIT WITHOUT A 3-WAY SWITCH. THESE BULBS WERE ABOUT $3.50 EACH. OTHERWISE WITH THE NEW BULBS I FOUND ([...] GE BULB)THE UNIT WORKED WELL. THE DARKER THE BETTER WITH THIS PROJECTOR. I USE IT TO TRANSFER 4X6 PHOTOS TO CANVAS.

I purchased this item several months ago. Very happy with the purchase. I've used it over and over again to transfer photos to canvas and also for scale comparison. It has one bulb and a fan (that's not very noisy). Because the bulb is 250 watts the machine can be very hot at times. The bulbs are hard to find to replace and only last 100 hours at best. You won't find the bulb in a hardware store you have to special order it from the company or from this company (from my experience). The focusing is very nice and sharp in smaller sizes and color is nicely represented as well. It can reduce an image if you flip the eye piece around but it's best known for enlarging a photo or graphic onto a canvas. You can not use any photo larger than 6X6. I usually print out a photo from my computer on 4X6 photo paper then use the machine to enlarge the image project it onto a 16X20 canvas. It works very well! Be prepared to do this in a very dark room for best results.
