Comments about ART1st Sketch Pad:
A little difficult to use for drawing, but I am going to experiment with this paper and see what I can do with it.

Pages fall out instantaneously...good for LITTLE kids
By Teaching Artist Bookmaker

I ordered a bunch of these for my drawing class students - I should have heeded the review that talked about pages falling out! The tape binding is VERY weak. The other reviewer was lucky, though, in that it took 3 class periods for the pages to start falling out...for me, upon opening a pad for the VERY first time, the top sheet starting falling out, and upon turning it, the next page, etc etc. I arranged to return the lot of these - they would be good for very young students who are fine with loose paper, but NOT good for actual sketching out and about or for any situation in which you want a pad's pages to stay together! Try Strathmore tape-bound if you need tape-bound - those seem much stronger!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I had this pads before (not from dickblick) and I really liked the paper (looked a little patchy/spotted). Those aren't the same paper, which made me not keeping them. The paper is plain white paper, a little like office paper. Nevertheless it's nice average paper good enough for kids craft (specially for this price).

I was really disappointed in these. I ordered 100 for my weekly art students, and by week 3 they were already losing sheets of paper. It's unfortunate the binding could not hold them, even when not folded back completely. The brand I get from my local dollar store holds up better than these, for about 1/2 the price! I won't be using these again.
Merchant response: We are sorry to hear that these pads did not meet your expectations. A member of our Customer Care team will be contacting you to see if we can help you with a return or exchange for another product that might work out better.
I would buy this product over and over

Best value for your money!
Really great, haven't tried other medium
By Cow Patty

I have been away from art for a long time, so I am not familiar with all the current techniques. I will try more materials as I go. But this is great right now. As I continue, I may even find it great for other mediums.
