A new, softer surface from the makers of Colourfix Pastel Papers, Colourfix Suede is an archival-quality surface suitable for use with pastels, charcoal, pencils, inks, acrylics, gouache, watercolors, silverpoint, and even oil paints.
The surface of Colourfix Suede is not as abrasive as its "older brother" (the original Colourfix), and was developed partially in conjunction with the manufacturers of PanPastel as an ideal ground for its products.
Still able to hold multiple layers of pastel, Colourfix Suede does so in a gentler fashion and without causing excessive damage to PanPastels and Sofft Tools (not to mention fingertips, for those who like to blend with their fingers).
Colourfix Suede is a heavier paper than the original Colourfix, produced by screen printing Art Spectrum Colourfix Primer onto a heavyweight (500 gsm) hot press watercolor paper to create a strong, permanent support for painting. To further distinguish it from the original Colourfix, the screen print extends to the edges of the paper, with no white borders.
Colourfix Suede Pastel Papers are available in eight rich colors (including six new colors) and two sizes, providing artists with another high-quality alternative for permanent artwork.
Rainbow Pack — Includes ten sheets of paper, including two each of Black Suede and White Suede, and one each of Kalangadoo, Outback Blush, Brown Paper Bag, Tasman Sky, Jacaranda, and Kangaroo Gray.
