I don't normally work with acrylics, but wanted to do a few pieces recently. I didn't want to do them on canvas and decided to try these out.

They're super smooth and I love the color of the panels showing through. I ended up painting with my fingers because the brushstrokes were showing too much. I watered down my paint and went back over the dry painting with pen.

All in all I think these are a good value for what they are. They are really sturdy and a great alternative to canvas. Haven't used any other mediums on these, so can't comment on that.

These panels have a smooth, uniform surface that can be primed as desired. The grooved hanging feature means that the panels can instantly be hung on the wall without additional hardware. They are excellent for all types of painting, and especially for quick studies. Unlike hardboard (masonite) panels, they are relatively lightweight and accept water-based mediums without streaking. A great alternative to pre-stretched canvas or canvas board---more durable, easier to work with, and make a better presentation. I use them for painting, collage, and as a base for wood-relief pieces.

I use this product for doing small, fast paintings in black and white. I feel that the ease of panel preparation and the inclusion of a hanging mechanism cut the preparation time, allowing for more immediacy. The surface is smooth for those who like a non-resistant surface, and the panel is rigid and doesn't appear as if it will warp. A great alternative to masonite.
I only have two problems with the product: 1. For someone as clueless as me, the holes for hanging should be placed on two opposite sides rather than just on one side (for the square, and four sides n rectangles) so one won't get done with the piece and find the hole would cause one to hang it upside down. 2. The price. I know what sheetgoods cost, and there isn't a great deal of labor involved in making these, so they should be a little cheaper. It seems as if there is only one company making them so that might have something to do with it.
