Perfect for plein air painting and convenient for travel, Arches Watercolor Pads are ideal for both professional artists and students.
Each pad holds 12 sheets of natural white, 140 lb (300 gsm), 100% cotton paper that is acid-free. The paper is ideal for watercolor, gouache, ink, acrylics, drawing, and printmaking, and strong enough to handle multiple washes of color, masking fluid, scrubbing, and artist's tape without damage to the surface. Gelatin sizing gives each fiber a consistent feel and absorbency.
A long-time favorite of artists, Arches watercolor paper is produced on a cylinder mould machine and has been manufactured in the same French paper mill since 1492.

Great Product - (work on shipping methods)
from Dillsburg, PA
Comments about Arches Watercolor Pads:
This paper is quite the upscale when compared to its counterparts. I was far impressed with the quality of this product and highly recommend it to any one who is pursuing watercolors. The only one thing I did not like is the shipping method. The product was just put into an envelope and when I received it, the corners were dinged up. That should not be the case. Shipper should use a cushion mailer at the least! But.........I can not say enough good things about the paper. I will be buying more soon.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Nice to have good Arches paper in an easy to use pad. I buy this size to use as is and because a half sheet is still a comfortable size, then I don't need two pads.I also really like the texture - not too rough and not smooth, the perfect Goldilocks in watercolor paper. The only drawback is that I like this paper so well, I don't get around to buying other brands to compare it to (so I can honestly say it's the Best in its Category).
Outstanding Watercolor Paper
I've tried quite a few watercolor papers, working my way up the ladder from student grade up to moderately priced professional, and decided to treat myself to some Arches. Wow is it worth the hype, amazing qualify, and the texture on the rough press is superb, it makes your paintings sing. Would recommend this to anyone looking for high quality paper.
Very nice paper.
I avoided purchasing this paper for a while due to it's price, but finally tried it out. What a drastic difference from student papers. These can take much more abuse, I had no pilling, and minimal warping. Paints and water spread in a much more attractive way and I can work an area over and over again without issues, a huge advantage over the other papers I've tried. I still think it's expensive, but worth it, certainly. On issue I seemed to have is that it is more difficult to totally erase pencil lines on this paper, even though I use a very light lead with very light strokes. I could totally erase any hint of them on cheaper papers.
Best of the best
This is the best hot pressed paper I have ever used. Stands up to scrubbing and all sorts of abuse. Highly recommended.
Best paper to buy.

I like all the Arches paper pads especially the ones that come in blocks. It saves on taping your paper down to something else.I find them very handy and love all the different sizes.I wish they came in smaller sizes as well.I prefer the blocks over the pads, but find both useful.Dick Blick's prices can't be beat.
A real Gem
I love using these Arches pads. They make starting a painting so much easier. The quality of the paper is very good.
Arches WC paper lives up to its reputation. It makes me look like a far better painter than I am!

Best watercolor paper I've used for cardmaking

I use hot press watercolor paper to paint stamped images for greeting cards and I love Arches the most. The paper is very smooth, accepts watercolor beautifully, and doesn't tear easily. I love to buy multiples when Blick has them on sale. A great value!
