Welcome to dickblick
A convenient, portable watercolor brush at a great low 3-pack price. Water is loaded into the barrel and the creating begins through small, medium, or large synthetic Taklon brush heads that are easy to clean, and great for use on most any surface. Large barrel.

Great Idea Dreadfully Executed With These Brushes
By Mary Clancy
from Kansas City
Comments about Royal Langnickel Aqua Flow Brush Set:
Made in China--I know what isn't--but these are particularly bad. They leak, the tops fall off, and the bristles shed. Blick was, as usual, so great about making it right. But I highly recommend spending a little more and getting an aqua brush that is better designed and manufactured. Derwent makes a good one and they come in a set of three. Unfortunately, Blick doesn't carry them right now.

very average waterbrushes

I bought these to use as extra water brushes as I already own the Derwent water brushes which are far superior to these. The Royal brushes themselves seem ok, but the brush covers do NOT stay on. That said, I plan to use these in my travel watercolor pan set. These are OK if you didn't want to spend the extra money for the better brushes for trying out using water brushes with your watercolor pencils or watercolor pan sets.

Brushes fall Apart
I put water into one of the brushes and the wet and pulled on the tip, which had been pointed with some glue like substance, the bristles started coming off in my hand. I ended up just throwing them away. It's not worth fighting bristles coming off in a painting.

Aqua flow brush set

These brushes are inexpensive and easy to clean. The brush does seem to pull the color up in the barrel but easy to empty and refill.

This is definitely one of those "you get what you pay for" products. These waterbrushes are more effective at wicking water away into their water reservoirs than they are at applying water. The water reservoirs ends up with more pigment in it than is left on the page.I recommend the Pentel waterbrushes over these - they have much better valves.

Economical water brush

For the quantity and price this is a wonderful deal. I thought so so much that I ordered one set and once I received them I immediately ordered 3 more just to have around. The quality is fairly decent but you should know that occasionally the glue that holds the bristles in can give some and you may lose a few hairs here and there, but considering the price, for me, it wasn't that big a deal.
