I won't be buying again. Crayola works better even

Comments about Talens Angora Watercolor Pan Sets:
Some colors are vibrant while others are dull and hardly stick to the page. The blues are darker than the blacks. If you go over certain colors with a wet brush after the colors had dried they come right off like peeling off a sticker
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I fell in love
from Bronx New York
This is great for working in my sketchbook and my serious pieces of artwork. The different colors and size makes it so great for traveling and doing art on the go. When ever I go watercolor this is a must for just applying a transparent layer to completely relying and finishing with this pan. This is great with my brusho crystal colours.

Good student paints. #sweepstakes
from Fleming Island FL
These are nicer than the student sets I have been using. I use Yarka for students, but these seem to give a nicer result and have better colors, maybe more pigment. They are good for a more serious painter. I chose them for the brand, but also because they said each pan was removable. That was not the case. The pans are part of the entire palette mold and do not come out, but I like them anyway. #sweepstakes
Merchant response: Thank you for taking the time to point out the error in our website description. You're correct that the individual pans are not removable. We've corrected this on our web page, and we apologize for our mistake. If we can be of any further assistance, please don't hesitate to let us know!
A Diamond In The Rough
from Ronks, PA
This has become my all-time favorite brand of palette watercolors! I recently purchased the 24 color set and was very pleased. I've been able to achieve beautiful color combos, with just the right amount of pigmentation that I've been searching for, that in other brands, left me feeling disappointed. Another plus is that the paint cakes dry quickly so that you're able to pack up and go as soon as you need to, with no mess on the inside lid or dripping/running/bleeding into all your other colors. A real diamond in the rough, considering the low cost. I was afraid the low price was going to be a sign that the overall quality stunk, but I was quite surprised. The only thing that I'm disappointed in is myself for not spending a little extra to purchase the largest palette size. Also, I received my order (this, along with a couple of other products) about three days earlier than the projected delivery date. Overall, I'm very pleased!
They Seem Fine for Casual Use
from Omaha, Nebraska
I just purchased the small, 14 Color set today at my local Dick Blick Art Supply Store. The colors are bright and mostly strong, I didn't buy a bigger set because I didn't know how well I would like them. More colors would be better, though. At the time I wanted to buy some tube waters, but I didn't have my list with me. So, back to my set, I tried it tonight and was pleasantly surprised, it was better than I expected. I wanted some color to add to my urban sketches, and also to work under oil Pastels or soft Pastels. It seems like they would really be good for that. My Acrylics work well for that, but I hear other artists say to use watercolor. For 'serious' commissioned work, maybe not these, but for experimenting handling watercolor, or Urban Sketching, or daily sketching or daily sketch painting these do the job, and believe me...MORE would be better...go for that BIG SET !
I will purchase this product again and again. Love it!

This set of watercolor paints are the best I've ever used. The customer service was great also. I will definitely be using both again soon. Thanks for an awesome experience.

I absolutely love these watercolors. Something about them is just exactly what I was looking for. They flow together nicely, and all the colors work well together.
