The majority of my work is mixed media on wooden panels, allowing the natural wood grain to show through. These panels are some of the best for the price. I've bought a total of 16 so far, and they all have consistent, good quality wood with no visible nails or glue stains. They're excellently constructed and sturdy. My only minor complaint is that they're quite rough and need to be sanded more than other wooden panels that I've bought, but this is hardly an issue since all panels need to be sanded anyway. I definitely recommend these panels and I will be buying more.

I purchased a few of the larger sizes and was so happy when i opened the boxes and saw the quality. It took me a bit to gesso them as they are on the larger size, but once they were done they are a wonderful. The hardboard surfaces on other panels are to smooth for what I like. These are the best wood panels I have found.

These panels are nicely made, HOWEVER, they are not full dimension. I needed 20" X 20" supports on which to mount completed paintings on unstretched canvas which measure 20" X 20".
I prepared a couple of these panels and then discovered the paintings overhung the edges - no good - the panels measure 19 and 3/4" square. Dimensions do matter at times, more often than not for my work. This set me back.

I was intending to use these panels for detailed paintings. Only one of the panels is halfway usable.
Cons:
- The panels had surface defects, and will need a lot of sanding- there was a lot of residual dust in my packages.
- The panels were all warped about 1/4 of an inch or more.
- The bevel on the edge of the front of the board was completely uneven and nonexistent in some places.
- The circular supports had unevenly cut edges.
- there were large knots in the supports.

I'm pretty disappointed in these panels as I was really looking forward to the availability of circular panels.

I used these wood painting panels for the first time. They are beautifully crafted. I loved drawing on it so much that I left the drawing as part of the painting. I loved painting on it too. It was inspiring!

I shopped around quite a bit for wood panels that were made out of birch and had a cradled backing. I am mounting a series of photograph prints on these panels and needed the best value for my collectors so I can keep production costs low as I am starting up my business. I was really excited when I saw these frames were on sale, so I went ahead and ordered all the panels I needed to complete my first 10 pre-order paintings because it was really the best price I have found!

These are great. Competitively priced and beautiful quality.

I prefer painting on wood (vs. canvas) due to the rigidity of the surface. I used acrylic and the wood surface was perfect - smooth with just a little tooth.

Just as nice as the other wood panels I've used but less expensive and with a nice deep cradle.
I wish they had more sizes in the round shape.

I'll be back for more.

I was not aware of these panels until I saw them advertised on-line by Dick Blick. I gave them a try and found them to be better than advertised. I have since ordered several more for a project I'm doing. I'm pleased with the quality workmanship of the panels and the large variety of sizes available.
