I am using the wood panels in a project for my drawing class at college. The panels are ideal for experimenting with collage. The project requires 15 pieces and so far I have used stain, spray paint, nails, yarn, text, metal sheeting, photos etc. What I also like a lot is that after using spray paint (I used Krylon bronze) the grain of the wood is still visible. An exceptional price for a panel with innumerable possibilities!

I'm not an experienced artist, but I used these panels as a base for a mixed media piece including collage and I was very pleased with the results. The panels provided a nice solid platform to work on. Will use these again!

I'm going to use these boards to glue pictures on that I am then going to glitter paint. They are made really well and I thing they are going to work great! They are made so that you can actually hang them on the wall without having to drill a hole in them.

Very pleased with quality of product, and at a remarkable price. I love painting on solid surfaces, and these work very well. I like the cradling. I am using deep cradled: Finished works look elegant with sides either left natural and varnished, or painted with color picked up from front.

The first time I gessoed one, I had problem with grain raising, which needed light sanding for two coats to smooth out. Now I seal surface with acrylic gel first, sand lightly, then gesso. Am planning to try basecoat put out by manufacturer of panels.

Pleases me that they are made by woodworkers not far from where I grew up.

One of the panels had a "plug" on the surface. Obviously a secopnd rate product. The work to fill the plugged void, makes the product to labor intensive for future use. These panels need to be pre-gessoed and smooth....

Very classy panel. Beautiful wood. Paint on top of a flat panel, hinge to a bottom deep panel and stain the wood and you've got yourself a top quality unique box.
