Welcome to dickblick
These one-step, lead-free gloss decorating glazes are a great value — and they bring a palette of bold, vibrant colors into the classroom.
Ideal for glaze layering and design, Amaco Teacher's Palette Glazes are easy to apply, and produce consistent results at Cone 05. They mix well with each other and with Amaco Teacher's Choice glazes. Colors can be layered by brushing or slip trailing on top of one another without bleeding, distortion, or glaze interaction.
These glazes fire true to the color in the jar so you know what the final fired color will be.
Teacher's Palette Glazes are designed for artists of all ages.

I love these glazes for children
By Art teacher
from Amarillo, Tx
I love these glazes for children! The colors are vibrant and the glaze is accepting of mistakes made by little kids. i always use these glazes for the children's clay class that I teach.
I like these glazes in elementary art because they are mixable and the red and orange are reliable.
from Muskegon, MI
Good glazes offering good coverage. The similar glazes from Blick are priced better and offer better coverage. These are a bit thick and require adding water, which is a pain.
from Greenville, KY
I really did not like this glaze and will never order it again. It was not glossy at all. All of the pieces looked awful.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Merchant response: Thank you for taking the time to post a review of these glazes! They are indeed a high gloss glaze, and the results you describe suggest that they were not fired to a good cone 05. You may need to check the elements in your kiln or the power supply to ensure the kiln is firing as it should. Great Glazes for School Setting
from Wilmington, NC
These glazes are great for the school setting, you can mix them almost like regular paint without worrying about the disastrous results you would get from mixing traditional glazes. They are also a great value, I've been ordering the Teacher's Palette set of 12 for the last three years and they last me for a whole year. I teach middle school and my students do one clay project per semester. If you are teaching in a setting where you are able to do more work with clay, I would order more than one pint per color.
A fantastic deal on a basic assortment of glaze colors
from Houston, TX
Basic colors for beginning kiln work. Inexpensive and easy to apply and fire. If you are just getting started, you can't do much better than this.

I switched to Amaco's Teacher Palette glazes and really like the results. Colors can be layered and mixed easily. Best of all the colors are very true to their actual color after firing. This is especially important in the elementary art room!
