I use Rub 'n Buff to touch up old frames and lamp bases. It works well. You can combine their colors or pigments to match your subject.

There is nothing else that achieves the gilded look that this product short of actual (read expensive) gold leaf. It's easy to use and I adore it.

I do Sand Carving in glass, slate, marble, granite, etc. I use Run 'n Buff to fill the carvings on marble, granite and glass. Apply and allow to mostly dry then rub the surface with a just slightly damp short nap cloth. Rub to hard and you will take it all off. It IS NOT PERMANENT nor as durable as paint. I always advise my customers that it is a colorant not a permanent paint.

I attend auctions and have purchased artwork with less than perfect frames. Most frames only need some touching up with the finish. Perfect for hiding small imperfections. When used on larger more damaged surfaces it covers everything and makes them look wonderful even though they still have missing fringe. When I saw that it came in a multitude of colors... I got one of each. Just a little dab goes a long way. I expect to have them for years to come.

I use this product to enhance metal jewelry that I make. I have almost all the colors and the only ones I don't care for are the ruby and the amethyst, as the coverage is so spare it doesn't tend to project much color on the small pieces I do. Don't consider this product has the same kind of coverage as paint. That being said, I found the rest of the products, largely the metallic colors, did an excellent job of enhancing the pieces, and helps provide protection against tarnish. It should not be considered durable enough for everyday wear, and a sealer should be standard for this or any other surface treatment for things that will be handled and used often. Application is very easy. I would recommend using very small amounts at a time straight from the tube. Drying time is quick, and almost no buffing is needed for the piece to have a nice glow. Very fast and convenient, and helps give a professional looking finish to the work.

I'm a professional faux finisher. Nothing works better in my line of work than Rub n Buff.....& the Ruby color is the perfect Copper....as copper has been the most asked for metallic for me this yr. don't let the name Ruby fool you.....it's copper!

This product would not adhere to metal finishes. I tried it on new curtain rods and candle holders. It was completely frustrating as it just rubbed off.
