Amaco Potter’s Choice glazes achieve the effects of Cone 10 reduction without the need for a reduction gas kiln or firing to high temperatures. These lead-free glazes are made to fire at Cone 5-6 (2205°F–2269°F, 1207°C–1243°C), in an oxidation kiln.
Glazes are available in pint liquid, gallon liquid, or 25 lb dry packages. The 25 lb dry dipping glazes are packaged in 5 gallon buckets for easy pouring. Only stirring is necessary before application. For spraying and dipping, glazes may be thinned with water. See manufacturer's instructions for spray application. PC-4 is not dinnerware safe.
For best results, follow these special application instructions for the following PC series glazes.
Note — Please see Resources tab for more layering and application techniques.
Blue Rutile needs to be applied heavily. Apply at least four coats. It will flow just a little and create beautiful effects.
Shino needs to be applied irregularly. Apply two irregular coats. Once you have used it a while you will see the effects you can get by varying the application.
Salt Buff has to be applied on the thin side. No more than two irregular coats are needed to get the random effect of salt glazing.
Color Chart Note — Use this color chart as an approximation of the real color. If exact color matching is necessary, use actual samples of the materials.

Comments about Amaco Potter's Choice Glazes:
always works for me. I have a whole collection in different quantities and colour. The only warning I give is that the pre mixed pints and gallons can have a different effect and colour as the 25 lbs; do to missing the chemicals required for brushing on versus dipping.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Amaco is a breath of fresh air
I have recently switched over to Amaco. They are friendly and knowledgeable about their products. They experiment and play with their glazes and encourage their customers to do the same and to interact with each other about it. I find this is a refreshing contrast to another company which I shall not name. My pottery is completed beautifully by these glazes.

not only are amaco glazes great, but if you have a problem amaco will replace them, i turn all my glazes into dippable products, and they are great and easy to use

I fire these glaze at cone 5 with a 15 minute hold over 04 bisque. I love the infinite color and texture combination I have been able to get from these. The clay body can effect color so hat only adds to the range.
Amaco glazes are beautiful and reliable.

Using Amaco high fire glazes allows my middle school and high school students to make varied and professional looking pieces. The results are dependable and generally stay where they're put (not much dripping). Combining the Potters' Choice series glazes in particular leads to beautiful rich glaze results that continue to wow us.

I like the way these glazes can be layered to get a new color or effect. They are formulated to work together. I ordered another type of Amaco Glaze as it would also work with some of the PC glazes I have on hand. Oh, yes Not long ago I had to have some glaze as I was have a show and did not have enough glazes. Blick over night shipped the glazes to me. It is that kind of service that keeps me as a customer.
