Amaco Potter’s Choice glazes achieve the effects of Cone 10 reduction without the need for a reduction gas kiln or firing to high temperatures. These lead-free glazes are made to fire at Cone 5-6 Glazes are available in pint liquid, gallon liquid, or 25 lb dry packages. The 25 lb dry dipping glazes are packaged in 5 gallon buckets for easy pouring. Only stirring is necessary before application. For spraying and dipping, glazes may be thinned with water. For best results, follow these special application instructions for the following PC series glazes. Note — Please see Resources tab for more layering and application techniques. Classroom Pack 1, Set of 6 — Includes one pint each of Classroom Pack 2, Set of 6 — Includes one pint each of Classroom Pack 3, Set of 6 — Includes one pint each of Classroom Pack 4, Set of 6 — Includes one pint each of PC-20 — Blue Rutile needs to be applied heavily. Apply at least four coats. It will flow just a little and create beautiful effects. PC-60 — Salt Buff has to be applied on the thin side. No more than two irregular coats are needed to get the random effect of salt glazing. PC-50 — Shino needs to be applied irregularly. Apply two irregular coats. Once you have used it a while you will see the effects you can get by varying the application. Note — Use this color chart as an approximation of the real color.
