Great for siging pots
By Patti G
I use it to sign the bottom of pots by putting it in a writing bottle with the small or med. tip. Applied to bone dry clay, fired bisque and then glaze for cone 5/6. Works great!
they are so very prompt in filling orders.

I have used this product in the past is why I am reordering it I am using this to make key chains in the shape of the bottom of a pink sneaker. These are donated to a group of girls in the Dallas area called Pink Soles in Motion. They do the 60 mile walk along with other projects to earn money to whip out breast cancer. These are for my daughter who is in the group and has walked many years. I myself am a breast cancer survivor who had a double masectomy a couple years ago. Thanks for a great product to use in my project.

Great for all basic glazing needs!

I always like amaco glazes. This underglaze works well when applied as directed or watered down for a watercolor effect.
Fired to the correct temperature. Color was a little bland but Im not sure its supposed to gloss as in the example without gloss glaze over it. So it didn't meet my expectations but my expectations might be skewed.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Merchant response: Thank you for your review! These underglaze colors will be matte unless a gloss overglaze is applied. If you look at the photos for the sets, you'll see that half of the tile is shiny and has a clear glaze, and half shows the matte color with no clear glaze. If you have further questions on the use of these colors, please feel welcome to reach out to our Product Information Team at 1-800-933-2542 (weekdays 8am to 5:30pm CST) or firstname.lastname@example.org. They're happy to answer any questions you may have!

I have been using Amaco glazes for nearly 40 years and using Blick for over 30. I have never been dissatisfied with either. Good stuff all around.

Use this glaze for greenware or bisqueware. I have even used it on cone 5-6 Dover White with a cone 5 overglaze after the initial firing. This is great for beginners or professionals, it's actually a pigmented clay slip and that seems to be why it works so well. You only need 1 coat unlike other underglazes and you can fire repeatedly to create wonderful effects.
Amaco ceramic underglazes stay put where applied, even when fired. They offer controlled designs and come in a variety of formats; liquid, semi-moist, pastel stick and pencil. With underglaze, you can achieve a wide range of effects and detailed lines that you can't get with regular glazes.
