Use these mixes for making glass casting molds. Both mixes remove easily by soaking in water. Fine Glass Casting Mix — Use this mix for making a glass casting mold from a modeled original art piece. It's especially well suited to casting small pieces. For these small pieces, mix Fine Casting Mix with water according to directions and pour over the artwork. Let dry, then place in the kiln, load with glass and fuse according to instructions. Coarse Glass Casting Mix — This mix is used when making large molds for glass casting. Because it contains refractory material, it is specially designed to reinforce larger molds during firing. It is applied over a slightly drying coat of Fine Glass Casting Mix to complete and reinforce the mold. After it’s dry, load it with glass and fuse. ® Amaco is a registered trademark of American Art Clay Company. |
