Amaco Excel Glass Kiln

This compact kiln is ideal for glass jewelry making and other small glass projects, or for metal clay and enameling.

The unit is equipped with a hinged side door for easy opening and loading of pieces, plus a second door for placing finished glass beads on a mandrel for annealing. Both doors have wooden handles mounted away from the heat so they can be grasped without gloves.

The firing chamber measures 9"H × 10"W × 9"D (23 cm × 25 cm × 23 cm). The exterior dimensions are 17"H × 30"W × 29"D (43 cm × 76 cm × 74 cm). It heats to 1800°F (982°C), and operates on standard household current (115V). A Glass Select Fire computer control ensures accurate and stable temperatures required for annealing. A stand is included.

Two year warranty. UL listed. 90 lb (41 kg).

Furniture Kit — This kit includes the following shelves and supports, all designed for the Amaco GSF-045 Excel Glass Kiln:

  • 2 shelves, measuring 8" × 8" × ½" (20 cm × 20 cm × 1 cm)
  • 3 shelf supports, measuring 1" × 1" × 1" (2.5 cm × 2.5 cm × 2.5 cm)
  • 3 shelf supports, measuring 1" × 1" × 4" (2.5 cm × 2.5 cm × 10 cm)
  • 1 carton of Amaco Kiln Wash, 1 lb (0.5 kg)
