Welcome to dickblick
Amaco Celadon glazes are glossy, transparent, and pool beautifully to add vivid accents to textured and carved surfaces. Formulated to be 100% mixable, these glazes are available by the pint, or in 10 lb dry packages, packaged in two-gallon buckets for easy pouring. Only stirring is necessary.
Create your own "Celadons" from a palette of 17 hues. These glazes highlight the surface texture and bring out the color of the clay. Transparency can be adjusted and colors can be softened with C-11 Mixing Clear. Celadon glazes can be thinned with water and Amaco Gum Solution if needed.
Shake the liquid glazes well before use. Apply three coats of glaze to Cone 04 bisque (let the glaze dry between coats). Glaze fire to Cone 5–6.
Dinnerware safe. AP colors are safe for spray application.

Making 200 votive dishes for my son's wedding and needed a dipping glaze. Wasabi Celadon is the perfect color and dipping is a breeze. Went to an Amaco workshop at the Armory Art Center in West Palm Beach with Diana. Glad I went.

Amaco Celadon glazes are the best!
I really love Amaco's Celadon glazes--the colors are true and I get a great result every time I use them.

The Amaco Celadon glazes don't run which eliminates pots being stuck to shelves, which ruins both pots and the shelves. They also combine well with the Potters' Choice glazes, to provide awesome effects.

Love obsidian! I can count on the color to always be truly incredible. I have a large order of dinner plates, salad plates and bowls for a customer...they love it and I do too. I use it in combination with other Amaco glazes and get great results. Blick is great about free shipping and discounts and that helps my bottom line. Thanks for being my go to when purchasing glazes.

when using this products a consistent application of the coats is required. I tend to go around for one coat then up for another the around again for the third. I've found it gives me the most even coverage. Remember to let dry completely before the next coat.

I have been using Amaco Celedon Glazes for a few years
By Slips And Glazes
I use these glazes on decorated pottery- I need a translucent glaze and this line works perfectly.
from Joliet, IL
I love the Celadon line! These glazes do exactly what celadons are supposed to do - highlight texture. They work best with pieces that have alot of texture or detail work. If you are using these glazes on smooth surfaces the result is going to be uneven or "washed" looking color...not a glaze defect. I have NEVER had any of the Celadons craze on any pieces. I use reclaimed studio clay, white stoneware, and porcelain that can each be fired to cone 6-10. I bisque to 06 and fire to 6.
