Designed for the beginning potter, the newly redesigned IE-X features a 1/3 HP, 6 amp motor to continuously handle up to 100 lbs (45 kg) of clay and a 14" (36 cm) cast and machined wheel head with removable bat pins. The wheel stands 13" (33 cm) high for tabletop use and ease of storage — or insert the adjustable legs to raise the height of the wheel head from 20"–25" (51 cm–64 cm) for floor use.
New to the IE-X is an indestructible tabletop made of a bio-composite material that combines 100% reclaimed organic fiber with 100% recycled thermoplastic. The organic fiber is a natural by-product of the forestry industry, which means no new wood was used in the IE-X's manufacture. The tabletop is moisture-resistant and corrosion-proof.
Other features include an optional reversing switch that offers a neutral "safety" position to assure smooth transitions when changing direction, allowing the wheel head to spin freely in both directions as a banding/decorating wheel. A permanent magnet DC motor provides dependable variable speed control, while a self-tensioning four-groove poly-v drive belt holds tight for maximum performance.
The Model IE-X also includes a durable cast aluminum foot pedal that delivers smooth control and a speed range of 0–240 rpm, a splash plan, and a 9" (23 cm) power cord. All-steel construction assures unsurpassed strength and durability.
Included with the IE-X are a FREE "How to Throw on a Potter's Wheel" DVD and a FREE 14" (36 cm) PlastiBat.
The Model IE-X carries a 10-year manufacturer's warranty. It weighs 85 lbs (39 kg). 110V.
