This white paste is an excellent mending material for bisque. Use it to bond bisque pieces together or fill up broken cavities. Bisque Fix can be colored to match the bisque using metal oxides or ceramic stains. After applying with a spatula, fire it to the temperature of the clay and glaze that you are using.

So far so good...
Comments about Amaco Bisque Fix:
First time user and new to ceramics so I'm not an expert. Quick delivery and it seems to work well enough. Easy to use. No need to concoct a paper mix and hope for the best. Good price. Time will tell if it holds up to user and washings. Seems to be all it claims.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I LOVE Bisque Fix
By Miz F
from Tacoma WA
This product has been a life save for a number of students who have had clay projects that have had a piece fall off or cracks. If applied and smooth it works really well. If applied messily it can look terrible, but if done right you salvage a project. Glaze can be applied on top of the bisque fix for a finished look. It is kind of expensive, but worth it to have some on hand to fix fired projects.
Saved multiple pieces with S cracks!
By Chesapeake Potter

I applied this product to bisque-ware with S-cracks (both superficial and those that ran through to the other side of the pot. I used a rubber rib to fill the crack and smooth. Once dry, I added a second coat to ensure and sanded with 120 paper. I then glazed and you cannot tell at all that a crack ever existed! This product will literally save me tons of time and money since I've been using a no grog clay that throws beautifully but also tends to crack in the drying process and occasionally in bisque firing. Would love to hear results of applying to glazed ware -- going to try this next!

Tried to use this to reattach a piece that had broken off a bisqued work. It stuck fine to the piece, but was useless for reattachment, because it is not sticky. Even large amounts of Bisque Fix did not work. I finally mixed some with white glue, which worked well, until I dipped it in glaze, which dissolved the bond. It might work for filling in cracks. But as an adhesive, it's useless.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Too much is not good
from Ft. Worth, Texas
This product does repair cracks in pots but in the wrong hands does not give the results you might hope for. My students used way too much of it even when told to just get it in the cracks. They left a layer of it on the pot surface and after glazing you could clearly see where the bisque-fix was. Some places when bisque-fix was used to thick under the glaze - the glaze and bisque-fix chipped off after firing.

Wonderful material, highly recommanded!!
from Redmond WA
When I first looked at this paste, I couldn't believe it will solve my problems. I had a mold broken into two pieces. It worked like a miracle combining the two parts together using just a little from the paste, AND IT'S VERY STRONG!!! I'm happy with the results.
