Still not flat after a month....
from san jose, ca
I used to use Borco board cover back in the 80's, I'm not sure if it is still available, but I have a small piece that I am using for my "dirty work" area on top of my new Vyco. The Borco was shinier and the green was more on the yellow side, vs Vyco which is a bit bluer and more matte. Still a nice green (didn't compare the cream side of the two - sorry) and the matte finish is fine with me. HOWEVER I have had the Vyco for about a month and the ridges are still visible from where the sheet was rolled into the box that it came in. I unrolled it as soon as I got it and let it rest on the board for several days with weights on it, just as instructed. When It was still not completely flat after that I used double stick on one side, then pulled gently from the loose side and clamped it in place on the loose end, and placed weights over the still-visible ridges. A few days later I took the weights off. The Vyco looked pretty flat, but when you put a desk light on it and look from the side, the ridges are still visible. sad.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I use this on a portable drafting board, to create ink and pencil drawings and layouts. Durable and easy to clean, VYCO has been my go-to drawing surface for a couple decades.
Greatest drafting board cover on the market
from Amboy, MN
Back in the day when your drafting and paste-up was done by hand, we used this board cover for all of our drafting tables. Now, with everything done on computer, we are setting up our tables for metalsmithing, guitar making and painting where we are working from home. Starting fresh, we wanted to replace the old board covers we had put on 20+ years ago. That's how long this product lasts. Glad we could find it again.
Dependable board cover
This board cover is a tried and true product that I have been using for many years. I find that it takes a little time for the cover to "relax" and flatten from its rolled up delivery condition. I'm really tough on the board covers and replace mine yearly. I love it when I am able to take advantage of a Dick Black promotion to do that.

Looks and will hopefully work great once it flattens out. Its has been over a month with weights along the edges and tape down on one side and it still has waves and curls up at the ends from its memory of being rolled up.

This cover looks like what I saw in an art supply store and it is what I expected...except that as it came rolled up, getting it to flatten out is turning into more of a problem than I expected. The instructions said to unroll and let it breath/set for 24 hrs. Well, it's been sitting for 72 hours and there are still all these small vertical ripples...I can't secure it until it's completely flat and the instructions say not to apply heat.
