This "standard" size brush holder is much too long for short handled brushes. I returned it in fear of my brushes bending in my backpack going to/from class.

I've been painting for four years and had just thrown my brushes together in a plastic sleeve. I don't know why I hadn't gotten a real brush holder before. But now that I have one, I love it. It really protects the brushes, now I'm buying better brushes.

Not only can you protect your brushes...but you can also dry them the right way! I watercolor and it's best to dry your brushes upside down to have water not leak into the ferrule, etc...and with this case I just stick in my wet brushes and turn the case upside down and everything works

I never used one of these before, but having tried it, I like it very much. I don't waste any mineral spirits and I find it's a help in keeping my painting area tidy. It also keeps the hairs in my brushes from getting bent and has them ready for the time I want to use them
