Nice case, but could be better
from Dallas, TX
Comments about Alvin Prestige Marker Cases:
The case is nice and fits markers well. I mostly have Copic Sketch markers, but some of my Original Copics have troubles getting out, not too bad though. Overall the case is great, I only have one thing that I don't really like. All the sockets for markers face one way, so in order to use the case, I have to fully unfold it to take different markers from different rows. The case is pretty big in unfolded state. Would be much nicer, if you could fold 4 times and the openings to take out markers would face each other, in such a way you could take out any market out of any 4 rows.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This case is just perfect for carrying our markers. It is very well constructed - the marker holders are strong yet flexible and the cover completely protects contents. We are very pleased with this purchase!

Perfect for Prismacolor or Copic.

I bought this case because my marker collection keeps growing and I was tired of having my markets in multiple boxes and some on the racks that came with the set. This case was perfect! It fits many different brands. The compartments are well made and hold the markers tightly. The velcro seal works great even when filled to the maximum capacity. This is a great alternative to the expensive name brand cases.

I spent days looking for a marker case to hold my prismacolor markers. Blick by FAR had the best price. Even at my school store they were offering this same case for 30% off and it was still slightly more expensive than the case plus shipping from Blick. The case easily holds my prismacolor markers, copic markers and gel pens. It's easy to take markers in and out, no elastic to fuss with. The case folds so it's not taking up too much room on my desk. My only caveat is that the case, when full, is about 3-4" thick, so it does take up a bit of room in my backpack. It's worth it though, to not have to dig through a bag and search for a marker every few minutes. I would purchase this item again, and highly recommend it for those looking to keep their supplies neat and organized.
So far, so good.

I've been looking for a portable case for my Prismacolor markers for some time now, and finally stumbled across this option. The markers fit perfectly, although I do have some reservations about the plastic sleeves' durability in years to come. I do with that maybe there was a larger option than the 60-count case, but It'll do for now.
Well made, but too bulky for my needs
from Ventura, CA
It's a fine case and cheaper than others out there, but it does not work for me. I wanted a case to keep my 12 markers organized as I go out and about. I do a lot of sketching at museums, zoos, etc and take my Copic gray scale markers for quick shading, but having the markers in a pocket of my purse slows me down as I try and find the marker I want, so I thought a case that keeps them neatly organized would be the solution. The Prestige case is cheap and has the right amount of marker pockets for me, but it ends up being way too bulky for it to be convenient and the way it folds, if I open the case while in my purse, only pne row of markers can be accessed. This must be a great case for while you are at your studio, so if that's what you need it for, I highly recommend it.

1ST: the case holds markers & seems to be well mase. Therefore 5 stars.I have only had it (60 capacity version) for a few hours.I bought these to replace the Prismacolor Stackers, which have good points & bad points. I recently broke 2 of them (totally my fault) & went here to replace them. They are not cheap. So I looked for something else, due to the bad points. The best thing about the stackers is that all of your markers are right there in an easy to get & easy to set into place. Bad things are that they take a lot of space & need a flat surface to stand on, & come apart (not break) too easily. The 60 marker Prestige case takes up just about as much room as 5 stackers (60 markers), which I found to be odd since the stackers seemd to waster a lot of space. However these Alvin cases, when closed, can be laid down flat, or stood up on their sides, or on their back. However the markers are not easily accessible (compared to the stackers). With the 60 capacity version, the entire 4 panels have to be unfolded and laid down (or hung up somehow maybe). This is not convenient. They should make 2 panel units that hold 30 markers. Also the markers (prismacolor) fit in the slots really tightly - secure? yes, convenient? not really.I realise that these are geared more for travel than studio, I was just hoping for a perfect solution for me.Somebody needs to combine the bes---nevermind, I just had an invention idea.

Overall good product
from Atlanta GA
Well I agree with everyone else's reviews but would like to add that with the 60 marker case, care needs to be taken when opening because the markers sometimes slip out. Overall I would buy this product again because it is a great value and the only good solution for Prismacolor markers bought loose. It is also an awesome way to organize markers by color if you are as OCD as I am.

This was exactly what my husband was looking for to store his collection of markers. He could not be happier. In fact, I think we will be ordering another one as his collection is growing!
