Printmaking on a Budget focuses on making prints from found or inexpensive objects as opposed to using highly expensive printing machines and computers. In many parts of the world, this is the standard way of printing and there is certainly a place for it in Western countries.

Students will be particularly interested in Mandy Bonnell and Steve Mumberson's methods for making highly sophisticated prints while using comparatively inexpensive materials.

Mandy Bonnell and Stephen Mumberson both have extensive teaching experience in the printmaking field. Bonnell is Senior Lecturer in Printmaking at The Bath School of Art and Design, Bath Spa University, and has organized and run International Outreach Workshops in Kenya since 1990.

Mumberson is Head of Printmaking as well as Reader in Fine Art at Middlesex University.

Both authors are practicing artist printmakers who exhibit widely and internationally, and their work appears in exhibitions and collections worldwide.
