Don't waste your money on these sets. I used them for two clay projects in my classroom and all the metal parts fell off the woodden handles. The wood tools are holding up ok because I sprayed them with a varnish to protect them. Spend your money on some nice kemper or dolan tools that will last you a long time. You end up saving more money in the long run buying the nicer tools rather than replacing them every school year.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Great For Wheel Throwing Class!
from Putney, GA
Great tools for any Wheel Throwing Class! I used this back in the 90's and still have everything, except the sponge, all in great condition! Now to look for a cheap wheel and get back into it! ;)

Use ONLY with RED TERRA COTTA!
from Baltimore, MD
These tools are not a natural dark wood, it is stained/ red-washed... the red dye comes off / rubs off on the clay if you are using porcelin, white stoneware, or any other light colored clay. When fired, the dye DOES NOT burn off. Really?!? I can't believe that Blick would sell such a substandard product... I am REALLY disappointed.
Merchant response: We apologize, it sounds as though you have received defective product. At Blick we attempt to send out every order free from defect or damage. However, these types of issues do arise occasionally. Customers who receive defective or damaged items should contact our Customer Service department via email or by calling (800) 723-2787 and we will work with you to rectify the situation.
