I think this is a good set of basic throwing tools. The only thing really missing is a flexible rib. Be advised that the wooden tools will wear against textured plastic bats and have to be replaced eventually. A harder wood like oak or maple would be appreciated (but possibly add a buck or two to the price, which would be fine with me). The cutting edges of the metal tools also wear but can be sharpened with a small flat file.

Everything is very nice except the needle. The finish is coming off the wood on the needle and the needle does not fit properly in the wood cap that came with it. I would still buy it again.

Some of the metal on these tools was not finished to smooth. The all-wood tools are really nice. Still a good value and good variety of tools.
