Susan Kern Designs
Unique/Custom Furniture -Each item is one-of-a-kind, unique in its own way. The finished pieces are designed from our natural world. I work in detail, illustrating the beauty that surrounds us.
Each piece is specially selected. It is sanded to roughen the finish. I then prime it with a stain killer. It is primed a second time with gesso to prepare the surface for the paints. After I thoroughly research the subjects, I sketch them in and start applying the acrylics. I choose bright, attractive, eye-catching colors. When the painting is completed, I spray on a Krylon protective satin finish.
