Depending on the printmaking technique, Gamblin Inks may need to be adjusted slightly with a modifier in order to print perfectly. Temperature, humidity, the type of plate, and the type of paper all affect how inks perform. Burnt Plate Oil #000 — Burnt Plate Oils can be used to make inks more viscous. They should be added sparingly, as the detail of a print might be lost if the ink becomes too fluid. Gamblin Burnt Plate Oil #000 has less tack and is a good match for use with Gamblin Relief Inks. |
