Horadam colors can be lifted from a dried palette without forming small bubbles. Colors flow evenly and are fully intermixable. Horadam helps the artist maintain full control of color, even on softer papers.
Color Swatches created using heavy application/diluted application and were applied on cold press watercolor paper (150 lb) material.
Cobalt Cerulean has a more greenish tone than Cobalt Blue. Cobalt cerulean pigments have the same lightfastness properties as Cobalt Blue. The company rates Cobalt Cerulean as semi-opaque and semi-staining, giving it 5 stars out of 5 for lightfastness.
Oxides of Cobalt and Chromium
Cobalt Chromite Blue is an opaque pigment with moderately low tinting strength.
Cobalt salts have excellent lightfastness and temperature stability.
Cobalt salts are toxic when ingested or inhaled, and slightly toxic on contact with the skin. Evidence of Chromium(III) carcinogenicity is inconclusive. Chromium(III) salts appear in greenish pigments.
