Metal Enameling

Economical and efficient, this kiln costs no more to operate than an electric iron, and runs on 100–120V household current. It reaches 1500°F (816°C) in about 15 minutes.

These fine-quality porcelain enamels for metal are made of powdered glass, ground to 80 mesh. They are considered medium fusing, and are fired at 1450–1550°F (788–843°C) for two to four minutes. 2 oz (57 g). Lead-free.

These solid copper tongs are non-magnetized and measure 9" (23 cm) long. They can be used with Sparex when cleaning silver.

These 4-mesh nichrome wire racks can be used for supporting work, in and out of the kiln.

This sifter is plastic and has 40 × 60 (102 cm × 152 cm) mesh screen wire. It can be used for even application of enamels on copper. It measures 2" (5 cm) in diameter.
