Da Vinci Impasto brushes are made with the thickest fibers available. Extremely strong and thick bristles make this line of brushes excellent for heavy body acrylics, oils, and water-mixable oils. They’re a favorite of impasto painters.

Da Vinci's Series 5040 Mottler is great for washes in watercolor and fluid acrylic, and for gessoing and varnishing. If you prefer a synthetic for these applications, this is as good as it gets.
