Blick Heavy-Duty Cross-Braces add extra strength and stability to large canvases when used in tandem with Blick Heavy-Duty Stretcher Bars. Even though the cross-braces fit snuggly against the stretcher bars, they should be attached to the frame with cross-brace brackets for the best result.

Known as the "Super Bar" for its strength, our heavy duty stretcher bar is made of kiln-dried, knot-free pine. The bar has been finger spliced, a method of bonding pieces of lumber together to form a very long, straight bar.

We use only sap-free, kiln-dried wood for all of our stretcher strips. They are precision-cut with the most modern equipment available to ensure that every one you assemble will have perfectly square corners. Standard size is 1-1/2" wide × 3/4" thick.
